Few challenges affect adults more than ADD and ADHD. Among them include negative self esteem, poor motivation, carelessness and often frustrating challenges with relationships. To further exacerbate the problem, the public does not have a clear understanding when it comes to understanding the disability.
There is no “cure for ADD or ADHD, (the two are often used interchangeably) however many treatment approaches exist that may alleviate or significantly decrease the symptoms. One common treatment is through the use of medications, which should be explored with a health care provider. Others include coaching through which the client learns skills and practices that offset the negative tendencies caused by the disability.
